To support and promote all programs and activities of the American Legion.  To foster and improve the relationship of the American Legion with other Veterans Organizations. 

To formulate and promote matters within the state of Maryland which will preserve and strengthen veterans' rights, laws, and veterans' programs, provided by the state and federal laws, and to promote mutual comradeship, friendship and cooperation between Department, Districts, Post, and individual members of the American Legion
